Each class in lost ark has two class engravings, or two different play styles/builds to chose from. Picking an assassin to play is essentially picking 1/6 not 1/3. I would recommend playing what you enjoy over what sounds like the most DPS since at the end of the day, whoever has the best gear will do the most damage.With that being said my top 3 picks for highest DPS when played properly are Barrage Artillerist, Igniter Sorc, and Empress Arcana. My personal pick being Arty due to the massive amount of push-immunity allowing you to greed entire rotations where most classes would have to reposition or dodge. 8.Weppoz •. Very high stagger and destruction. Need good knowledge of mechanics due to attack delays. But I've played all the classes and I have the most fun playing the Artillerist. It is slow to level up and the class doesn't get fluid till t3. Soulfist is a pretty challenging class to play optimally and the two builds require different skillsets to pilot so when I have the resources I'll definitely set-up a robust spirit gearset for fun. So at least for gunlancer the class doesn't really feel fun till you get the actual abilities your class will use (level 30 and so on). The test a class function not really representative of many classes since it just gives you the base 8 abilities you get after going through the prologue.It explains very well why it doesn’t matter. You need to have fun with class you play. Period. Otherwise you won’t get better at playing the class which it ultimately comes down to. A B tier scrapper could potentially get MVP over S+ tier classes if it is played well and the player knows the mechanics etc. Good classes and moderately preferred : Berserker, Dead Eye, Sharpshooter. Too Popular for parties : Lancer, Gun Lancer, Gunslinger, Scouter. Not hugely popular for parties but popular among players : Arcana, Soul Fist, Striker. REMEMBER : The best class for you is the one you enjoy. Compare it to to other games, Lost Ark's character balance is ... .
